Our journey started in 1972. Concerns in our group are Textile, Agro, and Construction. Our presence in the textile sector is over 50 years and we have been working as one of the pioneers in the Textile sector.

At the beginning of the journey, the Chairman of Shatarupa Group got his attention in the textile sector of Bangladesh and started working by importing advanced technology from different corners of the world. As he was very passionate about working for the people of this country, so he made his journey unstoppable till today. 

Whereas back then about 70% of the cloth consumed in the local market was imported from abroad, but now that import demand has decreased to less than 50%. In the same continuity, our present goal is to make our country self-sufficient to reduce the dependence on imports for local requirements.
